Per le vie di Rosalia e Benedetto. Sulle orme della Santuzza
Città dei Ragazzi, 13-20 -27/10/2024
A mysterious figure, a woman, tells the story of Santa Rosalia in the park of the City of Boys, at the foot of Mount Pellegrino, where Rosalia lived as a hermit.
Between the cave, the clearing, and the chaos, the story of the Santuzza unfolds, from her withdrawal from the world to the discovery of her bones and the spreading devotion to her. This woman – as will be revealed later – is Palermo.
The festival Le Vie dei Tesori has created a unique recital about the patron saint, entrusted to Stefania Blandeburgo with narrator Mario Pintagro, based on a text by Francesca Picciurro inspired by a tale by Eleonora Lombardo. It is a journey into Palermitan spirituality starting from its most beloved figure, but it is also a tribute to the popular Palermo that seeks to stand tall on its own backbone through the example of the Saint. Palermo, a Mediterranean city, calls for divine intercession to end the evils that afflict the Mare Nostrum.
