OTTICA VOGUE FOR THE 400th FESTINO: "LE ROSE DI SANTA ROSALIA" PROJECT

Driven by my passion for my work and my faith, I wanted to create a frame that embodies the purity and protection of Santa Rosalia. The roses inspired me to enrich the design of the frame, reflecting the love Santa Rosalia had for the needs of people, especially her devotees. The roses also encouraged me to emphasize feminine beauty and, in particular, the purity of children.

We will enhance these frames with 100% UV-protective sunglasses lenses, polarized lenses, blue light-blocking lenses for protection from harmful electronic devices, and the best progressive and single vision lenses for reading, as well as anti-fatigue lenses, mirroring Santa Rosalia’s path of protection and faith.

Our goal as professionals is to help people see better and to provide frames with protective lenses and wider visual fields to continually improve visual well-being. Our motto is "SEE WELL, LIVE BETTER!" Protecting your eyes with glasses equipped with super protective lenses prevents potential eye damage.

According to legend, Santa Rosalia, affectionately called the "Santuzza" by Palermo's devotees, performed many miracles, one involving roses. It is said that when the Saint journeyed from Palermo to Santo Stefano Quisquina in Agrigento province, she gazed towards the Monte delle Rose, and from that moment, peony roses miraculously bloomed without thorns. This occurred in February and was undoubtedly a miracle of faith and respect for the Creation's Nature.

To commemorate the 400th anniversary of the celebrations in honor of Santa Rosalia, we have designed unique eyewear that enhances comfort and serves as a lasting testament to the Saint's greatness.

Our glasses are inspired by a garden of colorful and lush roses, emphasizing the strong connection with religious culture: a tribute to Sicilian roots, which have always been the heart of Ottica Vogue with Vaiana Eyewear, our brand. Sunglasses and eyeglasses made from nylon with unique shapes featuring elegant floral prints and personalized rose-adorned temples.

The materials used are eco-sustainable, with an all-Italian design.

We produce our frames with the best 3D color printing technology, offering maximum design freedom without compromising optical quality.

One Material, Many Possibilities

PA12 (polyamide) produced with 3D printing is a highly technological, non-toxic, lightweight, durable, and flexible material. It can be adjusted using traditional techniques like acetate.

Color in the DNA

The colors of our frames are the result of the 3D printing process: they do not require additional painting or treatments, ensuring versatility, durability, and safety.

We use the highest quality flexible hinges to ensure durability and comfort during prolonged use.

Zero Waste

Thanks to 3D printing, only 4% of raw material is wasted compared to about 85% in traditional processes.
